Truffleicious operates as an independent Sole Trader from Great Chalfield Manor, Nr Melksham Wiltshire.
We converted a listed Stable building into a 5* Hygiene rated kitchen where I create, cook, & serve my home made foods. We are registered with Wiltshire Council as a food business & hold a current (2018) Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
This year will be our 4th year at Great Chalfield. We will be refining our menus & paying particular attention to the amount of waste we produce being a small “Take away” business. For those of you who have not visited us before let me explain.
Unlike other National Trust Properties, Great Chalfield operates in a quirky, days of yore fashion, much appreciated by our customers, both old & new. There is no smart restaurant with table service & identical menus.
Great Chalfield Manor operates their own “Tea Room” where customers serve themselves a selection of tea, coffee & biscuits placing their money in an honesty box.
Truffleicious independently operates the ” Stables Kitchen” where I serve customers their requirements from my daily, Home-made menu, payment is then taken & you are able to “Take away” your food & either sit in the beautiful gardens, at the tables outside or take your food home with you. Truffleicious does not serve beverages.
The food we offer a Truffleicious is vegetarian, homemade & leans towards healthy eating. We also offer Gluten/Dairy free options including Low Fodmap . Of course there are naughties as well. In busy times it is advisable to order & pay for your food before a tour of the house or gardens.

Soup of the day & Home made Spelt, Rye & Carrot Roll £6 (Spring & Autumn)
Afternoon Tea. Please note: The two items listed below are by pre-paid order only.
Selection of home made miniature fruit tartlets, & scones Gluten Free Chocolate & Lemon Cake. Raspberry & Pistachio Meringue, Finger rolls with various fillings. Serves 2 £20
Picnic Savoury Canapes. Bring your own bubbly:
Selection of savoury miniature scones with various toppings, miniature savoury tarts with various toppings, Greek Olives, Serves 2 £25
Now to deal with waste & litter.
Last year Truffleicious changed from Polystyrene Plates & Plastic Cutlery to Biodegradable Kraft plates, boxes & cutlery. However, this still costs us & the planet a lot in waste materials that have to be disposed of. To try & address this serious issue further Truffleicious will offer a 10% discount on individuals providing their own, plates, boxes, cutlery etc.
